If you are 50 or under and have been bereaved, you are welcome to join WAY. You can download our application form by clicking the button below.

Our joining process

Once we receive your application form, this is what will happen:

  • Within two weeks you will receive a new member’s pack in the post
  • The pack contains information about WAY and a list of other members who live near you
  • You will also be told the name of your local area contact
  • You should then be contacted by your area contact, either by email or phone
  • You can then register on our forum so you can chat online (on a message board and in a secure chatroom) to other WAY members. You cannot join this forum until your membership application has been processed, for security reasons.
  • You will receive a WAY magazine three times a year and other email newsletters during the year. Please give us a valid email address when you join so that we can keep in touch with you. Let us know if you change any of your contact details too.

51 or over?

At present, our constitution limits us from extending membership of WAY to those aged 51 or over at the time of their bereavement.

However, we strongly encourage you to join ‘WAY UP‘, a lively group of widowed men and women that is flourishing across the UK. Most of them are aged 50-65 and their gatherings and parties are becoming the stuff of legend.

Time to renew?

If your annual WAY membership is up for renewal, please click the button below.

Please note, if you want to continue using our forum and message board, attending local events and holidays and receiving the WAY magazine and other email newsletters, you do need to keep your membership up to date. If you’ve received an email or letter asking you to renew, please click the button!
